Hello all!!
I hope everyone is rested, relaxed,
restored and renewed after the Halloween weekend! I have to say from a personal standpoint, it
was outstanding. The trick or treating was
fantastic, and there were so many great shows throughout the valley, most
notably, The Rocky Horror Show at
LTWB, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood
at The Grove at Nuangola.
Little Theatre’s Rocky showed us all that midnight Halloween
shows are indeed viable ticket sellers, and featured many Music Box Players
including Karl Kleist, Ericka Law, Amanda Reese, and Sarah Pellegrini in
featured roles, many others in the ensemble too numerous to list here, as well
as director Dana Feigenblatt. They all
did an incredible job, and kept their high energy level throughout two shows in
a single evening. Great job everyone!!!
The Grove at Nuangola has its share
of Music Box Players in its cast as well.
Matthew Buckman, Dan Pascoe, and your own very humble president, Scott Colin Woolnough, most notably among
the principals, as well as Madison Bradley, Lauren Fredmund, and Brennan
Shaffer in the ensemble. The Mystery of Edwin Drood continues for two more weekends.
ALL of the performers listed above
appeared on The Music Box stage at some point in 2014. We at the Music Box are genuinely so proud of
our theatrical community and the ability to cross-pollinate with other theatre
companies. However, we do hope to see
you all at home very soon.
Friday morning , several of our
Players devoted their time and energy toward an EXTREMELY worthy cause. As we did earlier in the spring, we went over
to The New Story/ Milestones Academy and sang for their students. It was just as emotional as last time, and
this performance, a few of the students actually came up on stage and sang with
us!!! A fantastic experience was had by
all that were there! Below is a picture
of our cast with some of the students.
A huge thank you to Madison, Eyanna, Allie, Ben, and Maggie, and super-mega big thank you to Lenny, Dana,
and Steve who together organized and made the whole experience possible!
Special appreciation goes out as well to
Sarah Brzycki and her colleagues at New Story.
We were so welcomed, by both students and staff, and cannot wait to do
it again!!

On a side note, we had our final
round of auditions this weekend for A
Christmas Story: The Musical. I believe the director is just about ready to
announce her cast. Please look for that
in the coming week. We absolutely cannot
wait to get started on this venture, and become the first theater in NEPA to bring
you this wonderful musical rendition of a timeless classic.
Also.... A NIGHT AT THE RACES is coming up this Friday night (11/7), be sure to get your horses in, and come down for some free food, free beer, and a rollicking good time!!
One more thing to look for in the
coming week is...
OUR FULL 2015 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!
We are just putting a few finishing touches
on it, and making sure all of our proverbial ducks are lined up
appropriately. So please keep abreast on
facebook, on our website, and watch your e-mail for what we anticipate to be a
fantastic season!!!
See you at the theater, and please
save me a seat!
